Rachel & Dylan first met when their mutual friend invited them on a road trip, they spent an entire week together, with their friend, and have been together ever since. They have that kind of love that is effortless, contagious and fun. When Rachel first reached out to me about photographing their wedding day we hit it off right away and have felt like long time friends ever since. On their wedding day they opted to share a private first look at the Cornwall waterfront. When Dylan first saw Rachel he immediately became emotional and then shouted “that’s my wife”, I will never forget that moment. They decided to have a large wedding party and when I tell you every single one of them did everything to ensure Rachel & Dylan soaked in their wedding day, they were their biggest cheerleaders and the kindest souls. Rachel & Dylan planned to have their wedding in their backyard, they chose beautiful fall colors, burgundy, terracotta and greens. They converted their backyard into the most magical wedding space I have seen. After their ceremony they celebrated the night away on the dance floor and decided to thank their family and friends, while thanking everyone they shocked everyone by sharing that they are expecting a baby, the amount of joy their family and friends had in that moment was priceless. When I think about wedding days, I think about Rachel & Dylan, their kind family, the meaningful place they had their wedding (in their backyard), the laughter, the happy tears and the warmth and joy that surrounded their wedding day.

I had known for a long time, well before I got engaged, that I needed Amanda as our wedding photographer. So naturally it took me all of a week after getting engaged to reach out to Amanda - she was the first vendor we ever booked. And let’s be honest, if Amanda didn’t have our date available I would have moved it just to ensure we had her for our big day. I was drawn to her stunning photos, her ability to capture so much love and authenticity instead of staged photos. Little did I know we were about to become life long friends. Our first FaceTime call was effortless; we felt as if we had known Amanda for years and hadn’t met an hour prior. Every interaction - every phone call, email, text or in person - was easy and fun. My husband tends to tense up in front of a camera and Amanda quickly brought him out of his shell. Our family photos, our engagement photos and our sneak peek photos are the most pure, loving, beautiful photos I’ve ever seen! It was a true honor getting to spend our wedding day all together. We cried together. We laughed together. She cheered us on like she watched our love unfold from the start. She’s part of our family now, she’s with us through all the seasons of life and it is such a joy to know her. She has a pure, genuine soul and it reflects in everything she does. I don’t think we’ll ever be able to thank her enough for the happiness she’s given us both as a friend and as a wedding photographer!
