Q & A :

How do payments work?

For weddings or events a 50% non-refundable retainer is required to book your date. The balance is due 14 days prior to your wedding. For other sessions a 30% non-refundable retainer is required to book your session and the balance is due 7 days before the session.

If a session is booked last minute, the retainer is still required but the remaining balance can be paid at the time of the session.

Are you insured?

I am fully insured in terms of both public liability and professional indemnity coverage. I always work with a contract that will include all aspects of the services I will provide, copyrights and model release.

Why the name "Flash Me"?

I believe that my life story is spelled out through photography. Photography is an expression of our lives, feelings and souls. I want to be able to tell my client's story through my lens. I want my clients to "Flash Me" their lives, souls and feelings.

What kind of equipment do you use?

I work will professional equipment.  Canon lover over here and use all Canon equipment. I use a Canon 5d Mark iii and a Canon 5D Mark IV. These bodies are combined with prime and zoom lenses.  I also use flash when necessary. I have plenty of back ups to be sure that I am covered.

When will I get my images? Will all of the images be edited & can I have the raw files?

For weddings/events I deliver images within 45-90 days via online gallery with the option of a flash drive as well. For other sessions I deliver images within 20 days via online gallery.  Yes, all the photos you receive will be edited and in high resolution for printing. You will not receive any unedited raw files.

Do you recommend an engagement session with our wedding?

Your engagement session will be a good opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera. Plus, this session will allow for us to get to know each other even better and build a better relationship prior to your big day! 2 of my wedding packages include an engagement session for this reason. If you choose my smaller package and want to book an engagement session with your wedding I offer a 1 hour session for only $250

Do you recommend a first look for our wedding?

I always recommend a first look. It is that time in the day where you can get a quite minute together alone, exchange gifts if you would like and get any nerves out of the way. You can share personal vows with one another if you choose to and then we will have a beautiful moment to capture some real, raw photos of you two. It is totally up to you and we can chat about it in more detail if you would like. Now, this is just MY personal opinion. Some brides prefer to have that element of surprise and not have a first look, remember, this is YOUR day and whatever you want is what you should do. I can make anything work.

Do you have a studio?

Nope! I consider myself a "lifestyle" photographer and studio work isn't my jam. Session locations can be taken outdoors, I know so many great locations in the Hudson Valley or they can take place in your home. I LOVE in-home sessions because they are always unique and personal, what is a more special and comfortable location than you own home?! Sometimes I will rent an airbnb for my boudoir marathons.

What if the weather is bad?

Re-schedule! If the weather is bad for your scheduled session we can totally re-schedule your session! If it is raining or snowing and you still want to do your session then by all means, let's get wet! Now, if the weather is bad on your wedding day, don't stress it! Because we will make it work and make it just as beautiful!

We are awkward and nervous will our pictures look bad?

Most people are nervous to be in front of the camera because it's not something that you do on a daily basis (well, probably not). It is normal! If you read my about me section you know that I am more of a prompt photographer than a JCPenny poser, this does not mean I won't give you direction. This means that I will give you prompts to do that will be and feel super natural and get you laughing and joking around. And before you know it, you will probably forget I am even there taking your photos. I am all about the raw, unfiltered, authentic photos, so trust me when I say I know how to get them.

Are pets allowed?

Absolutely! If you have fur-babies bring them along for the fun! I would recommend having accommodations for them if you don't want your babies in all of the photos. Also, make sure to bring them some treats and water.
